About Me

Many of you have been with me since the very beginning when I was just the Mama who got a new camera for Christmas to snap shots of her own little boy. Since then, we've added another little boy to the mix and my hobby has grown into this sweet little business where I still get to do what I love, capture memories.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Heather and I'm the spunky Southern Mama behind the camera. I was raised in North Florida on my Momma's horse farm, went away to college just down the road in Tallahassee, moved back to my hometown where I met the love of my life. We share our lovely home with our two wild little boys plus our regal furbabies. I am also a registered nurse where I serve my community at our local emergency department. My family is my center, my heart, my home. You will occasionally see my two littles grace this page with their "cheese and crackers" smiles or may even catch a glimpse of my five year old's photography skills.

I have a soft spot for grandparent's. I miss my extraordinary grandparent's dearly so when you include yours in a session, you tug at my heartstrings.

Heather L. Kastor Photography has had a name change. It's a name I've had in my pocket for a couple of years and has finally come to light. Welcome Cotton & Lace Photography.

My style of photography has always been natural, light and airy. When I think of cotton, I think simple, light, flowing and relating to everyday life. Your children scurrying up trees, rolling in the grass and those big, belly laughs. I love the simplistic glow and beauty of a soon to be mother gently placing her hand on her ever growing belly or awe in a new father's eyes while he holds his newborn daughter. A three generation shot with your Nana or a shot where your Grandpa's shotgun was included. Your pets barreling around the yard during sessions. I love what everyday life has to offer.

Where the lace comes in, is in the details. It's delicate with intricate details. All those extra little things you meticulously chose for your wedding. The detail of the gown you dreamt of since you were a little girl. The sparkle of your Grandmother's ring you chose to wear as for your "something old." The silly socks the groomsmen unbeknownst to you, have chosen to wear. The eyelashes on your newborn or their perfect little feet. There curves of a woman's figure and delicate lace on her negligee. All those details we love and cherish.
